Privacy Policy for Fling

This Privacy Policy explains how Fling ("we," "our," "the App") collects, uses, stores, and shares your information when you use our mobile application. By creating an account or using Fling, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your phone number and verify it via a one-time password (OTP). We do not use passwords for login.

Profile information. Name, age, gender, profile photo/avatar, spoken languages, and interests/topics you select, which we use to connect you with other users.

Voice recording (listeners only). If you register as a listener, we collect a short voice recording as part of a voice-verification step before your account can go live and receive calls.

Call data. We record metadata about each call — participants, duration, timestamps, and per-minute rate/earnings — for billing, history, and support purposes. Call audio itself is transmitted in real time between participants to establish the voice connection and is not recorded or stored by us.

Financial information.

• Wallet balance and transaction history (recharges, call charges, earnings).

• Payment processing (card/UPI/net-banking) is handled entirely by our payment partner, Razorpay. We do not receive or store your full card number or banking credentials.

• If you are a listener and request a withdrawal, we collect your bank account number and IFSC code solely to process that payout.

Ratings and reports. Ratings you give after a call, and any issue reports or support messages you submit.

Device and technical information. Device push-notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging), used to deliver call and account notifications. We do not collect precise location or camera data — Fling does not use your device's camera or GPS location for any feature.

Microphone access. Used only to transmit your voice during an active call.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information above to:

• Create and verify your account

• Connect you with other users based on shared interests/topics

• Establish and route voice calls

• Process wallet recharges, call billing, and listener payouts

• Show call history, ratings, and account status

• Send push notifications for incoming calls and account updates

• Investigate reported issues and provide customer support

• Maintain the safety and integrity of the platform (e.g., reviewing voice-verification submissions)

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data with:

• Razorpay (our payment processor) — to process recharges and withdrawals.

• Firebase/Google — to deliver push notifications.

• Other users, limited to what's needed for the call experience: your display name, avatar, age, topics, and post-call rating. Your phone number and financial details are never shown to other users.

• Law enforcement or regulators, only where required by applicable law.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. Session credentials on your device are stored locally and used to keep you signed in. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention

We retain account, call, and transaction data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data as described below.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data (subject to records we're legally required to retain, e.g. transaction records). Contact us using the details in Section 9.

7. Children's Privacy

Fling is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Effective date" at the top of this page.
